I am rebuilding my 5.0, it will have ported heads, ported edelbrock perf RPM, x-cam, 70mm TB, 150 shot nitrous, and all the supporting hardware,6500 rpm max. My question is, should I reuse my roller lifters or by new ones? If I reuse how can I tell if they are still good?

Mine had 100K on them when I rebuilt my motor so I went ahead and replaced them because the cam card said to. If it didnt have many miles I dont see why you would need to replace.

Yea id say it depends on how many miles they have on them. FMS lifters are known to take a good beating tho.

While you have everything apart it would be a good idea to replace them...Its only about $115 dollars and its good insurance...

:OT: Anyone else see randomly highlighted green underlined words in posts that bring up a caption for an ad when you place the cursor over it?

hydrolic roller lifter don't go bad...unless your cam is bad...if you had solid tappet lifter than you would have to replace them with a cam swap...save your $$$.
