I did initially. Now I find myself not wanting to do it so often because I know I'll be taking it out and getting it all buggy again. Early on I did a turtle wax 3 stage for black paint. The last stage is a heavy carnauba wax. Good layer of protection.

I live a mile down a dirt and gravel road. During the Summer i washed every other weekend, but used a California duster inbetween unless it rained. Plus after 4 applications of Maguires ultimate paste wax, the dirt and mud pretty much hose off. With the rain really starting now here in WA i just hose it off especially under the car to knock off the grit and wash when i can.

My last car was black and I had this same problem. Everytime It would rain it would be dirty again and it made washing it feel pointless. That's why I won't get black car again.

I use a quick detailer spray on the car every time it goes out somewhere, well before it goes back in the garage anyway. I hate having a dirty car lol
My car has only seen the hose twice, maybe 3 times as far as I can recall

I use the meguiars set
Meguiars ultimate wash and wax(love this stuff and makes tires and rims shine.)
Meguiars ultimate wax
Meguiars ultimate polish
Meguiars wheel cleaner(I rarely use this though cause it take so much of it to clean a rim)
Meguiars interior cleaner
Meguiars quick detailer(still haven't used this yet)
Lots of microfiber towels I just wash them when I'm done
