good choice on the kb... so how much was the total for your setup w/ the 5% discount,,,
airforce man myself .. thanks

It came out to like $5300 after shipping and the discount. Mind you I did get the Optional cold air intake and 90mm MAF kit too. I get a $100 core deposit back when I send KB back my stock MAF sensor.

*Update*
My kit should ship today, be at my moms house in Jersey next week!!! I really didn't expect it to ship so soon!!! Not that that's a bad thing, but I still have another 2 1/2 weeks on deployment here in Sicily!!! God I can't wait to get home!!!! :bang:

oh yeah. I'm poor again now. time to start saving for the forged short block!!!
Congrats on the new blower. Enjoy. Union Cty, NJ.........I grew up in
Mountainside. Have lived in Ohio since 1981 but always great to go back.
Have fun with the new buy. Mark :D

Congrats Dan!
I agree with you on the KB support... top notch in my book also. Great service, gread product and great discount policy. They didn't make me send a scan of my ID though, maybe too many scammers out there taking advantage.

Get home safe.

:flag: thanks bro!! Hey, how long did it take you for your install?? I plan on doing it on my post deployment leave out in the freezing cold in NJ. I don't know if thats a good idea though........It would REALLY suck to crack that aluminum manifold while torquing it down in the cold!!!

Dan, it took me about 3 days to actually complete the blower, but I was actually at it longer due to the other parts I was putting on, and waiting for the pcm to come back. Since I had to ship my pcm back, I had time, so I took it, and put on the valve covers and tinkered here and there. Non-stop though? I would say 3 days on average, 2 if you're lucky on every step.

The cold? Can't get it inside anywhere? I'd have to really think about that if I were doing it. As you say, you hate to mess up the intake, or anything due to the cold.

From hotter than hell to freezing in NJ... it'll be good to be home though right?

... And hey, for all you other military guys out there, KB gives a 5% discount if you send them a fax of your military ID card!!!! ...

 5% discount!?! Man, I wish I'd known that! Well *****, I guess I spent about $300 more than I had to on the blower and intake kit!! Sure wish someone would mentioned something about a military discount a lot sooner (like Kenne Bell!)

:bang:

Thanks!!! I am still on deployment for the next 3 weeks or so in Sicily. I figured that if I ordered it now it should be there by the time I get back. It'll make for a NICE post deployment leave project!!!!

Sigonella, Sicily, where I am is a TOTAL craphole. it is really dirty. The chicks are hotter then hell here though!!!!!! I am just here on deployment, so I don't know how I would feel about being here for more then 6 months. It's not all that bad though, it's mid-Jan and still in the 60's. Oh well. Good luck in Aviano. Northern Italy is beautiful!!!

I can probably pull the car into my dad's garage for the actual torquing down part. Not alot of room though. I will have to see. I just figured that it would be a good stress relief to sit around and work on the car all day. My dad's a mechanic and the garage is full of his crap from his Chevy resto's plus the 4 roller boxes of tools and the work bench. He hates fords which kinda sucks too. Oh well, I will make it work. I may just have to wait and do it at the auto hobby shop on base in maine like you did. :bang:

Where are you here in Korea? I assume USAF? Osan, Kunsan? 607th in Yongsan? My office is in Yongsan, but I live down near Osan (retired USAF).

Playground60 - I updated my sig about 2 months ago with my numbers from the dyno in Seoul and the run down the quarter in Yongin.

No the KB is not the only mod. I have a complete list in My Mods Database below, but in a nutshell I've added:
- 90mm Lightening MAF
- 75mm FRP TB
- KB CAI
- KB TB/MAF Big Tube
- KB Boost-Spark
- Denso IT20 plugs
- ProChamber
- Steeda/Borla Catback
- FRPP 3.73's

I didn't go to the track prior to the KB install. It's a PITA to hit the track over here, and it just wasn't worth it knowing I'd be up in the high 13's anyway.
