kenne bell blower kit worth it?

I dont have all the details yet, but my brother let me know one of his friends is selling a full kenne bell kit for a fox. Came off an 88 gt. He says he thinks the bearings on the head unit are blown. If I check it out and this is the case, is it worth the $400 hes asking? How much does it cost to get these things rebuilt? Anything to look for besides the obvious?

I would look at the screws if you can. you would have to take the manifold off what size kenne bell.

its already off the car, is there a stamp or something to tell me the size? Sorry for all the Q's. I never looked into roots blowers until this came around

yes there are numbers on blower case if you call kenne bell they can tell you what the numbers mean if you buy it you would wont to get a meth kit or make it into an air 2 air setup like what i did .I am trying to get my car into mm&ff

Does it have a bypass valve? If it does its a newer 2.1L. If it doesn't its more likely the older 1.5L.

mine is 2.2 it has a bypass

still havent looked at it yet. Ill grab some pics when I do. Is $400 reasonable for a full setup provided only the bearings are shot in the head unit?

I would say 400 is good. If you get it fix and do not like it you could sell it and not loose any $$ maybe make some $$
