Kenne Bell blowzilla hood clearance

  • Sponsors (?)

um, why do all that if you are selling it? or is the for sale in your sig for a different car?

i had a 1.7L KB, no blowzilla though, under my 96-98 cobra hood. only problem was a small spot where the pulley at the end of the snout touched. it was an easy fix.

i am going to guess a blowzilla would fit

I dont know of anyone who has one on a SN95, some of the guys I know had them on their 99-03's and had the stock hood but Im not sure if it works for ours as well. I imagine it would, might have to remove the liner or something though.

will it fit under the stock hood?
I doubt it but that would be sick any way it could, cause I looking to change directions in my build

Well my. 2.1L Blowzilla does :D

According to the install instructions there are two clearance issues

First KB says that you have to notch out a a small section of the hood center rib. Mine cleared so I didn't do that :nice:

Secondly, KB says the hood blanket needs to be removed. There is a clearance issue on the snout pulley so I just cut out a section (4"x4") of the blanket at that location

So yes it does fit under a stock hood :D

that is the best thing I have heard all day:D
any pics? and what size pulley

Is this what you had in mind?

I didn't take pictures of the cut out but can if you want to see them.

The pulley size is whatever KB sent with the kit. It's a 6 psi setup.
