On my friend's 02 Gt the boost-a-pump brings fuel pressure up only to 50-53lbs at full boost. Is this normal or is the stock fuel pump getting weak? The car has a 9lb intercooled kit with the 36lb injectors. It made 409hp and 440lb/ft tq, but the a/f ratio was going lean at 6k.TIA

should be enough fuel pressure , sounds like too much timing , or pegged MAF , but must stock MAFs have been throwing down more HP than that without pegging with that kennebell kit . i would guess to much timing

Oh nm...i assumed you had a KB setup. These two different technologies and the intercooler on the Kenne Bell 1.7L seems to be a little substandard in terms of reducing inlet temps. This is why Tim kept having problems tuning them at over 9 psi. The 03 cobra doesn't have these problems because they piggy back to the 03 cobra intercooler setup which appears to be much better than the current KB 1.7L intercooler. You can't really compare this to a centrifugal intercooled setup. You can usually get 1-2 more pounds of boost safely out of a vortech than you can on the GT KB kit because of the intercooler.
