Can you post some pics please. That engine must look so sweet! As soon as you take it to the track you have to post your times! Have fun with it! KB is a mean mo-fo.

I will post some pics next weekend, they are on my computer at home. I tried this past weekend but the damn server was busy after I typed everything up and posted the picutres and I lost it all

I am still waiting for some vette or camaro to step on up. As long as they are not f-ed with or a Z06, I shouldn't have a problem.

Sounds like fun. The jewelry option was the one option I was considering. What options not included in the 6 psi kit are people buying?

Post some pic's guys.

I have been bouncing between 93 and 91 octane. Depending were I am at. In St. Louis (where I work) we have 93 every where, in Columbia (where I live on the weekend) we only have 91.

Really? I thought 6psi requires 94+ without the intercooler?

92-94 required for 6 psi non-intercooled.

You could also run a tune with less timing to run 91 if that's all you had.

Wow, my bad. I thought it was 6 psi and 91 octane but it is 5 psi for 91 octane. Well I have went through 3 tanks now and had zero detonation. I have looked at KB sight they support what you say; 92-94 octane for 6 psi non-intercooled and 9 psi intercooled. I have the chip from Kenne Bell and have had no problems.

Run 94 if you can. I wouldn't go 92, that's just borderline.

I wouldn't worry about it unless your hearing detonation. You have a choice with detonation. Either run less psi, 5 vs 6, or run less timing. I
Ken's the expert.

Just be easy on the car when you HAVE to run 91, ie don't go higher than 4,500rpm. !!

I love my KB 6 pounder as well, I just went over 1,200 miles form Tampa Fl to NC through the smokie mountains and got 22-23mpg. The cool thing is that in the mountains, the HP doesn't fall off like a NA car. BTW these guys did the tune: www.racerelated.com
My KB kit was great but they didn't program the chip and it has been a PITA dealing with them IMO their customer service sucks. I would advise buying the KB"tuner" kit and having some one local provide the injectors, tune, etc.
Try these guys, they've been great as well: www.jmschip.com
Tell them Rob sent you, you'll be happy you did.

Congradulations man. I dream of having a KB. Unfortunately, it will never happen on my '96 (high compression).
