Well i got my Aluminum IRS bushings from Kenny Brown last night!!!!

I hope to have them in soon, I'll take pics and make a full report once they are done.

They look like they are real well made, They came with a crap load of washers incase i would like the change the angle of the differential to the driveshaft.

I can't wait to tame the wheel hop

Im very interested in getting a set. I would like to know how hard they were to install and how well it tames your wheelhop.

I'd like to know the results too. I have to wonder if ZERO compliance is a good idea. Poly at least has a little.

How harsh will your ride be do you think?

Well i guess i'll fund out bro....I don't forsee it being to bad really. the IRS ride is pretty damn good stock, and i am sure it won't be as rough as a solid axle. but like i said before i'll find out soon enough

Please share your results and supply pictures too. I've had three different speciality shops refuse to install the bushings on my 2003 Cobra. A call to Kenny Brown reportedly stated that the bushings would only fit after cutting about an inch out of the mounts. The change in pinion angle was considered too much for the shops to back their work. If they really work, then they would be a great (and cheap) way to manage wheel hop. If changing the pinion angle results, then I'd prefer to deal with the hop than the drop!

I'll be calling Kenny Brown to verify this...if what you say is true i'll be sending them back. I just wanna get rid of some of the wheel hop not change the pinion angle and what not...i'll just order some poly-urethane bushings if i have too

without a doubt... i've had the max motorsports poly bushing installed in my snake for about 3 weeks now. I can tell you that besides improving the handling modestly, I get moderatly more 'road noise' & 'road vibration'. And they didn't cure my wheel hop either Going to aluminum bushings is extreme if its truely a 'road car'. I can only imagine that you will get lots of road noise and you will prolly feel every pebble that you run over...

I'm cureing my IRS issues this morning..... i'm swapping my IRS to a built solid axle. (with an SCCA guy)

but good luck to you just the same...

An inch out of the mounts?? Huh?? The directions mention nothing of this and they seem to fit fine to me (with differential out of the car). I hope to have my new spider gears as well as ring & pinion in this weekend. I'm also putting the new subframe bushings on from MM. I'll comment more on this when it's done.
