Kenny Brown Differential Brushings Kit

Has anyone installed these successfully? I've had several pro shops refuse to install them as they would change the pinion angle. A call to Kenny Brown's Center in Indianapolis resulted in some questionable suggestions (i.e., cutting one-and-a-quarter inches into the mounts). I bought them to reduce wheel hop and manage heat, but they seem to be either poorly designed or impossible to install without screwing up the pinion angle.
