Hey all, is it possible to install the keyless remote entry system on my 94 gt that doesnt have it? If so, can anyone give me some details about it, etc. Thanks!!!
It's fairly str8t forward as long as you already have power door locks.
Theres a few kits to do this most are under a 100 bucks or so. Some aftermarket alarms have this as a option.
It's easy. They sell everything you need on ebay for cheap. You need actuators, relays, the module and all the wiring. I actually found a full Ford kit on Ebay for my Cobra for $35. The car already had power lock, but the kit was plug and play basically. I'll see if I can get the part number tonight and I'll PM you.
get a good brand because i have a 95 and it had an aftermarket system in it before i got it and it won't let you crank the car without the car being unlocked. that is good but sometimes it goes haywire and will go off while driving. and when i am sleeping it will go off for no reason and wake me up. and mine locks if you have the door closed for 20 seconds. it is cool to have but i don't like it when i can't crank it up incase my battery fails on my remote. and the switch that is under the dash does nothing
