I have them in my '68 and they look great. I don'tr have a good picture of them right now, but will try to get one this weekend. The amount they stick out will depend alot on the size and type of speaker, plus, the panel is fabbed so it sticks out about 1 1/2" without the speaker. I have 6 1/2" Memphis Audios in them and they just about make the pedal for the windshield pump unusable, but there is plenty of room for the clutch operation. A bigger concern is depth the other way, there just isn't alot of room behind the panel. You have to use either a smaller size (maybe 3") or get what they call "shallow mount."

C'ya!

I have Kenwood kick panel speakers in my '65 convert. Really sound nice. They protrude only about 1 1/2', not enough to make a difference to your legs.

Hey, nice instrument panel. I'm thinking about changing to something like that. Is that one of the billet ones from Mustangs Plus???
