Well I just got my car back after four months of it sitting in a body shop. Im real excited now that I got my car back and I cant keep my foot out it. Everywhere I go Im kicking the ass-end out, because its so fun. My question: is this bad for the body of the car? I had a buddy tell me that he kept doing this with his old 5.0 and it put ripples in his quater panels. I know cars twist under torque, and subframe connectors are the cure. I do plan on getting subframe connectors I just have not had time. What are your experiences? Thanks

unless you have some serious power and a load of traction then you will not get the rippling effect he was talking about... SFCs or not. only down side is worn tires.

Be careful. I have fishtailed around a corner before, and I SLIGHTLY released pressure from the gas pedal, and the car just grabbed. It bent the rear passenger side quarter panel, right where it connects at the corner. I don't have alot of power (I'm guessing 235 WHP, and I don't have crazy grippy tires (I have stock rims + tires still).

Hope that helps alittle bit.

OK, since you guys have been asking about it, I went outside just now and snapped a pic. Now, the car is absolutely filthy (it's been raining the last 5 days), and it is alittle bit hard to see what I am talking about since it's dark out.

The damage is circled, and it looks about as bad as it actually is (which really isn't too bad at all). I just thought that I would point out that these things can happen, even if you are stock (I basically am). And no, it wasn't there before, I detailed my car the day before and I noticed the bend the next day.

Derek: Believe it bud
