When I put the Edelbrock heads on the Mach the intake did not seal properly and coolant got into the combustion chambers. I flushed the engine and re-sealed the intake. The car has had a little noise in it all summer, which I was hoping was not a rod knock. I was hoping to get to the track to get an real quarter mile time. I tested the Edelbrock nitrous kit (100HP) shot. The Mach with the nitrous is the most fun I have had with my cloths on My little undefined noise is now a loud rod knock!!
I have the old roller motor out of my 1991 Mark VII, I am going to use it as a core and exchange it for a rebuilt shortblock. I plan on replacing the stock cam with a E303 and topping it off with the Edelbrock Perfomer heads. I am going to keep the un-official G-tech times a secret and post a real Quarter mile time in the spring. The Lincoln had crazy mileage 980000KM!!!! I was really surpised at the condition of it. The heads are all kinds of F*&^%$#-up, but the block is in really good shape, no ridge, pistons look fine, bores are clean. The Lincoln had lost power and the head gasket was leaking, so I put a low milage Mustang 5.0L engine from the wrecker into it. I sold the car to a friend and it lives on.
