I hear the noise when I am on the highway sometimes, last night I was in 5th gear at 1,600RPM going about 70MPH and I hear a knocking coming from the engine. I hear it from time to time but not always, is it detonation? What could be wrong with my engine?
I used to be able to cruise around at about 800-900RPM in 5th gear and slowly get on the throttle if I wanted to accelerate a little but I had a tuneup done after my car started to badly misfire and ever since then it doesn't like it...I also get a weird "bump" in the shifter most notably again when I am in 5th gear. When I am driving and I go to accelerate I can feel the shifter sharply move a little bit from side to side, and when I push the clutch in it's gone.
I am unsure of what either of these problems are seeing as I am not a mechanic but i was wondering if anyone else could help diagnose them.

EDIT: There is nothing really "pingy" about the first noise.
