Found my issue must have happened on the way to work cause this definitely wasn’t like this sitting in my driveway.

Massive brake fluid leak coming from the rear passenger side. Glad I didn’t drive this home… getting towed now.

Wash that wheel and any painted area really well ASAP, brake fluid will eat paint and ruin it!

It’ll have to sit overnight as is. Tow truck couldn’t get there until too late so I had to cancel and will have it towed tomorrow. But I will bring some cleaning supplies to clean it when I get to work.

Well they called me while I was out on vacation with the fam (we were in the middle of doing something) so I didn’t ask too many questions but the brake fluid leak had something to do with the caliper. Assuming the connection of the line to the caliper. Hopefully will get the car back tomorrow .

Got the car back, brakes feel great.

Got home and started replacing my outer upper door trim, and my run channel trim… my window channel weatherstripping just started cracking off in my hand (as seems normal for these cars), so I added the window channel weatherstripping to the to-do list. Got the passenger window channel in as far as the long piece that goes way down inside the door by the mirror. Any tips/tricks to get that piece in? I replaced these parts on my old fox but that was like 15 years ago so I’ve forgotten the way I did it. Once I get that on I can put the new door channel trim on… THEN do it all over again on the drivers side.

Thank you! I did watch the LMR video but they don’t address the part that goes down inside the door, kinda just say “get it in the channel” and walah they are done.

For fun I scanned for codes KOEO and two codes popped up. Mind you I don’t have any idle or drivability issues I’m aware of.

Code 34 - something with the EGR?
Code 67 - something with the clutch switch, or AC?

And I wasn’t able to run the KOER which confused me until I read you can’t run that one if you show code 67 KOEO?

Good thread on the Code 67:

Thread 'Code 67'

Dec 29, 2017
1988 Mustang factory V8, 5 speed car. Mass Air conversion done with A9L computer. When KOEO is done I get code 67 along with some EGR codes too. Trying to fix the 67 code. When codes were pulled a/c was off, car in neutral and clutch pushed in. A Tr 3550 tranny is in the car and the sensor is plugged into the tail and connected. Have also tried unplugging the switch on the clutch pedal and jumping the connector and still get the code. The car has a build date of 10/87 and has the speed density O2 harness (5 wire harness, no loop). Any help is appreciated! Thanks

Always check the code definition before replacing parts. It will save time, money and sweat,,,

Code 34 Or 334 - EGR voltage above closed limit –

Revised 26-Sep-2011 to add EGR cleaning and movement test for pintle when vacuum is applied to diaphragm

Failed sensor, carbon between EGR pintle valve and seat holding the valve off its seat. Remove the EGR valve and clean it with carbon remover...

Off topic but found this old drawing an old friend had made when I had my last fox. I think I’ll clean it up and frame it for the garage:

Damn, was hoping Kenne Bell would have a Black Friday sale. Tempted to pick up a supercharger and lower manifold and stock away for some future use. I just foresee prices going up or California outlawing them at some point.

California is secretly testing the effects of cancer by stuffing infected mice into the inlet of a super charger on a running SBC but having trouble analyzing the results.

We had to beat them around the head and ears for years (that rhymes), just to get them to make the kit again.

From my perspective, this is the last PD blower "kit" that will be available for an FI Windsor. I would be more concerned with the kit disappearing forever before CA outlawing the thing.

I need the lower intake as well, so out the door with everything it comes out to be $5,700.

Plus installation and support. If you're getting it in the near future and sitting on it a while... The pill will go down a little easier.

Stuff I'm thinking about:

WB O2 setup
Pump
Boost-a-Pump
Boost-a-Spark
Injectors
Tune

Down the Road:
80mm Accufab TB
Anderson CAI
Blower Pulley

All minor stuff (except maybe tune) if you're already sitting on the blower kit.

I’m not sure some of those things are SMOG legal but I get the gist, would need supporting mods.

Maybe a Cobra 65mm TB, some kind of CARB legal MAF, bigger injectors, I already have a 255lph walboro fuel pump sitting in my parts bucket.

Got the passenger side run channel trim, weatherstripping installed. Pain in the butt, don’t think I did it 100% correct as I just ended up cutting most of the weatherstripping that goes down in the front of the door off (maybe like half). Window goes up and down though so that’s good. Cleaned up the door while I had everything apart.

Sold my Tacoma, gonna take $5k of the proceeds to play with the Mustang, and invest the remainder.

Not in any rush but want to have a plan on what needs to be done. Kinda want to blow it on a KB, but also don’t. Im unsure about slapping a supercharger on a high mileage motor. Like I don’t want to spend $6k on a KB then immediately have a blown engine or something that’ll cost another $5-10k.
