Great point. I suppose i could buy grooved Bilsteins for the front for now. Still expensive though, lol
Talking of expensive, in my effort to move the hood painting project along, i ordered the Race Louvers side hood vents, street trim (don't know the difference between their trims, but street trim seemed most appropriate).
These ones:
Mostly for appearance and heat dissipation. Not going to be utilizing the downforce characteristics these have.

I edit my previous statement, I won't be buying these FOR the added benefit of additional downforce! That will be just an unintended side benefit.
Anyone know what this connector up near the battery is for? It’s not connected to anything. It’s the same exact type of connector that is for the test connections by the firewall (the single connector). It looks like it’s coming off the main harness, I know it looks like my wiring is a little hacked up but this doesn’t look ‘added’:
I took a look around on my 91’ and found the same connector under the coil cover. If it’s any consolation, mine isn’t connected to anything either. My wiring is not hacked and everything in the car works as it should. I imagine it’s for an accessory option or same harness used for a seperate model that comes equipped with something else we don’t have. Not sure but mine isn’t connected either and everything works so I don’t think you need to worry about it. I am curious now though. Lol

Yeah, took me a bit of searching which led me to look in the wiring diagrams. It is the 12V+ wire so my assumption is that you apply power to it which kinda creeps me out so that will not be happening.
Good to know nothing important. Mine also runs fine no issues was just curious when I was poking around and see it just dangling there.
Took off my hood insulator. It was tattered pretty bad anyways so i would've taken it off anyways. The good news is it looks like there are no support brackets i'll need to cut away underneath where my race louvers will go.
Going to order a cut off wheel (looking at the dewalt one since all my other power tools are dewalt and i already have the batteries for them), cut the necessary holes and then take the hood to get painted.

Picked up the dewalt 3” cutting wheel tool with some metal specific discs.

Was messing around on the car tonight, took the EGR valve off and cleaned it (actually had some carbon buildup even though it’s fairly new) to see if that was causing my code 34.
Anyways, the TPS is right there so I figured I’d test it. Not great with a DVM but I played with a bunch of different settings and I think I finally got a good reading. .99 at rest and 4.67 at full throttle.

Alright ordered the matching Bilstein B6 struts for the front, requested from MM they be grooved for future coil-over installation.
Edit: MM replied that only the rear shocks need to be grooved, not the front struts. For anyone wondering.

Coil over kit for the front slides over the body and utilizes the bracket on the strut that bolts to the spindle as the stop. The piece that slides over the strut has threads on it that has one spanner nut on it with set screws and that is how you dial in the ride height. You can see the notches on the blue sleeves here:
