I am ordering my Saleen 18 x 10 and 18 x 9's on thursday.. I decided, after a lot of advice, to go with 295/35x18 rear and 265/35x18 fronts. I see that the Kumho's have the best price. First of all, is this a good combination of sizes? I have the Eibach Pro Kit on my '96 GT and am slowly converting it to a Saleen. Next month, the body kit goes on it and wing. Second, is the Kumho a good choice??? Thanks!

You guys are complete idiots, kuhmo has won more solo2 championships than nitto has even dreamed about, kuhmo has real race tires. Nitto is so over hyped its sickining.

Kuhmo MX, is a great dry/wet traction tire, goto www.tirerack.com goto reviews and read the reviews on this tire. dont be fooled by the flock.

I have had the MX's for almost two years now. The Kumho MX tire have been by far the best tire I have ever owned. They grip nice, wet or dry and don't wear away like some of the others. I have had BFG's and Goodyear in the past and none of them have been to the standard of the MX's, especially at the price.

Working at a tire store, installing and selling high performance tires I see every tire you can imagine from crap that nobody has heard of to 400 dollar eagle F1 Supercars. Kumho tires are a crap shoot, ive talked to people that say there great tires and people who have had horrible experiences with them. Generally they tend to last 10 to 15k then there either worn out or separated. The stock eagle Zr tires aren’t the best tires either so you shouldn’t compare the two. Nittos tend to last a little longer and look better. BFGs hard tires with a lot of road noise that will last forever giving a lot of all season traction. The Eagle GS-D3 is the best tire on the market right now, according to numerous independent tire mags and articles. The Michelin line is also a good line of tires, more expensive and sometimes flimsy sidewall, they wear well and people are happy with them. I don’t care if someone on hear thinks there great because they have only had the stock Eagle ZR, but I work in the business and I have numerous experiences with kumhos, there cheap people buy them. But in 6 months they need tires again. More expensive tires give you more tread life, and better tire wear, it’s just a fact or there would be such a big difference in price. If you want great tires stick with the big three (Goodyear, BFG, Michelin) if you want a good tire for a good price go with a Nitto, but stay away from the cheapo tires because cheap rubber = teh lose

I don't know which tires they use, but was it the Ecsta MX that was winning? If not, a similar way of looking at that statement would be saying that a Ford Focus will beat everything because Ford also makes the GT(40).

I looked on tirerack and I can't seem to find anything with "Nittos" on them. Is that the manufacturer? What is the actual name of the tire?
Oops, sorry, my friend who is works at a car shop told me tires.com is the place he'd buy Nitto's from. He's probably going to get BFG's for me.
