Hello,

I don't really know where to post this, but I want to put traction bars on my 03 F150, and you guys are the most knowledgeable about suspension and 'Kiss Me''Kiss Me''Kiss Me''Kiss Me' vs. the other board I visit.

What I was wondering, is what exactly a "housing floater" is, and what does it do? As far as I know, I cannot use ladder bars on my leaf-spring suspension without a housing-floater because the springs and the ladder bar both travel in different arcs and it will bind the suspension.

So, i'm either stuck with a slapper bar, or getting one of these expensive-sounding "floaters"

Thoughts? :flag:

I don't really know enough about it to answer your question, but from my off-roading days, i do remember that a full floating system means your axles don't support any vehicle weight; the axle shafts only turn the tires. it's prob just a conversion kit u can get to make yours into a semi-full-floating system. pretty expensive though.
