okay guys, im going with 4.10s as soon as a find a shop to do it, and i will also need a speedo cal. anyways, my question is, what do you guys think of laraccas? They most likly could do the gear install, and burn me a custom chip. they had a deal last month for both done for $700. ill have to ask them again what their current price is. basically, is their tuning as good as i imagine? (famous name, ect) Also, what would be a good price for 4.10 gear install, and a custom chip with a dyno tune if its done at laraccas?
otherwise, it'll just be gear install and speedo cal done at my local shop where i got most of my other installations done...
hopefuly once the gears are in, ill be able to :spot: some ls1s from a stop till at least third gear.. :nice:

just had 3.73 gears, catback & x pipe installed by them for 424.00. i supplied all the parts except speedo gear & fluids. they did a great job. go to them they know ther stuff. good luck :nice:

I had them burn me a chip a few months back. All i had was a k&n, pulleys, and flowmasters. They got me a little over 10 rwhp and rwtq and said i could of had more if the gas i got wasnt so bad. I think it was worth it. Car runs much smoother too.

since i have a speedo gear-less year, i would have to go with a speedo cal or a chip. do you think you saved money by supplying the parts instead of getting everything through them? i was wondering what a fair price would be if the supplied everything? (chip, gears, fluids, and tune, ect..) Other thing is, is it worth it to have them install my gears and cal (if i decide i dont want a chip)? or is local shop i use probably able to handle it? (meaing, would i lose a ton of cash to laraccas as opposed to the local shop? what are laraccas hourly rates?)
Thanks guys, i really want everything to work smoothly.

okay. im bringing my post back up from the dead, as now i actaully need/want a chip and tune. Im going to be going with 4.10s, and i need to adjust for the gear difference, and my power mods are finished as well. (at least for the forseeable future). So the chip would finish up and complete the power mods nicely. Im planning on calling laraccas monday mourning to find out what the rates are for a chip burn, and gear install. My question is, how good/reputable is laraccas? would you guys trust your stang in their hands? and finally, if i do get a chip, does it illimanate the ability for the computer to pick up trouble codes? (SES, ect.)
Thanks allot guys.

THIS IS FOR THE BULLITT

hey, larocca's is awesome...i was in there in march to get a tune. my man was callin off stuff left and right, changing this and that...went out with 80 more hp then what i came with. found a lot of stuff wrong with my set up and got the car running pretty smoothly...felt like a totally different car. i would recommend them definitely.

they are in englishtown nj. Englishtown is off of route 18, past east brunswick.
Sounds like they get allotta good feedback, so i guess ill be giving them a call and my buisness. Does anyone know if you loose the ability to get problem codes once you get a custom chip? (ses light, ect) i know i asked this before, but no one had an answer.

I had gears/speed cal done at a "local shop" and regret it & it wasn't cheap.
I got a "finish up by 5 o'clock rush job". I may re-do the whole thing again.
Go to a quality well known performance shop..pay their price(usually competitve). Do it right the 1st time.my .02
