Largest Wheel Size for a Fox?

What's the largest wheel size I can run on a Fox without issues? I have 17" x 8" Bullits now but I was hoping to run 17" x 10.5".

Is this possible?

Looks really good. Those wheels are a huge improvement over the turbines. The largest that I've heard of in the rear is a 10" rim, remove the quad and use a BFH to bang out the inner wheel well. A lot of work! Oh, and goodluck with exhaust.

I don't have personal experience with it, but I have done the measurements and heard that it is:

10.5's do fit as long as the quad shocks are removed. Once those are gone, you will no longer have rotational control of your rear end...which means worse traction both in a straight line and in cornering when power is applied. The solution is to go with a Ford Racing/Global West Track Link which will greatly improve rotational control of the rear end over quad shocks in both acceleration and cornering...but be advised, if your engine doesn't make enough power for the combo, the increased unsprung/rotational weight will decrease your acceleration, even though you have "more traction." 245s are generally plenty for a stock 5.0 (as well as midly modified) as long as it isn't driven poorly.

Well, I will have over 450 RWHP in the near furture. I would like the run the best wheel/tire combo I can. I was hoping for either a 9.5" - 10.5" wheel wearing M/T ET Streets. Since the car is lowered I may have to use aribags when I run the larger wheels, which will mostly be for trips to the track.

I don't see that being a big deal. It shouldn't require air bags. My '87 had Eibachs on it and it had plenty of room with the 275s I had on it (considering removal of the quad shocks).

I was looking under a Roush Mustang, I think a 02, I didnt see a quad shock and I think it had 295's in the rear. Is there something different under there than other Mustangs? Did Ford change the inner wheel wells? I thought the chassis were the same from 79-04?

With it being that low, it will be quite the squeez to get 10.5's out back, a 275 drag radial should be more then enough to handle 450-500 horses at the rears, plus if you really serious about getting good track times you wil have something such as a et street out abck, a 26x10.5 on a 15x8 weld would be plenty to handle that power, and if it doesnt...its not the tire combo, its the suspension that is holding you back from hooking

Well, I just did the suspension a few weeks ago. My CarDomain site has all my mods.

Also, the brakes are Aerospace Components 4-Piston front and rear.

Your car looks awesome with the bullitts... are those stock 17x8's?

How does your car ride with the AGX shocks? I've been looking into the same suspension & wheel combo...

Not true. I ran with and with out quad shocks they have little to no true impact on handling. There only job is to control axle hop. A good set of upper and lower control arms renders them useless and just excess weight.

Now about those 10.5" wheels. I dont think they will fit. I think they will stick out from the wheel well. Judging from your pics that may not even be possible.

They are stock 17 x 8 Bullits...I got them for $129 each about a year ago. Also, for the price, I really like the KYB AGX's.
