University Place, WA
Track opens at 4PM and the CC members will get priority on practice runs until competition begins -usually around 6:30. The Ford Drag Team is in the lead and we want to nail down a victory for the second straight year. This is a double points race so a good turnout is important. Look for the blue awning to the right immediately past the gas pumps. We'll have hotdogs, chips and soda for members.

Who's coming?

I'll be there. Not that I'm much of a help but I'm a number. I also want to race on Saturday. Where and when?

Saturday is a CC race at Bremerton. For directions and basic info, click on: http://www.bremertonraceway.com/ Gates will open there at 8AM and competition usually begins a little after noon. That track has a very different ambiance and organization. You'll need to look for the blue awning as we have a more difficult time standardizng our location at Bremie. This is the last of the back-to-back races for this year, but Bremerton will host several more CC competitions through September.

It's worth noting that our lead is small at that track.

It's great that you are planning on competing at both sites. I intend to do the same.

What's the fastest you can go in car club? I'm taking my car out Wed night to do some testing, and maybe friday, then Saturday we are taken both cars to the horsepower ranch in Maple Valley for a mustang dyno day. Toni will be there Friday racing the 06 Gt, see ya there!!! Gregg

You can go 10's, no single digits. See you on Friday with Toni. Hope she does as well as last time!

We will be there around 5:00 pm, Toni will be racing the 06 GT, I will be making some test past in the Cobra. If I bring the cobra I will be coming in a 28ft trailer, I would like to park with the ford racing team and will bring my ford racing flag to mount on the trailer, Maybe someone can save me a spot on that corner in the new pavement? Thanks Gregg:D

Gregg, does your Cobra have Drag Radials (street legal) and is it licensed? I'd love to see you racing with with us Friday.

Greg,

There is also a race with the club going on Saturday morning at Bremerton Raceway at 0800. I'll be attending both so hope to see you at one of them. How did you do Wednesday at the track by the way? All motor or did you run with nitrous?

Cant go to the Fri or Sat gigs. Going to the Dyno in Maple Valley on Sat and going to SEATAC on Fri.
Checkout the other thread about Weds. No nitrous as I didnt have the safety gear for that anyway. Left the bottle at home. Between not heating my DRs the right way or at all and leaving at 1500 rpm shes got allot left in her. 12.13 at 119. (2.1 60' time.:notnice: )

Do you have an aftermarket supercharger, or are you running smaller pulleys?

You can go to that dyno anytime. There are only a handful of open days left at the track this year; the track is closed from October to April.

Smaller pullies and ported blower. What is the latest one could show and still participate on Fri or Sat?

Competition will probably begin about 6:30 on Friday night but maybe as late as 7. At Bremie competition usually begins between 12:30 and 1:00. If you give me call on my cell, I can give you a situational update. Let me know if that is what you want to do.

What's up with the car club races? I'm new here and want to get together with other people who are into mustangs.

The CCC is basically team bracket racing with winning points earned by the individual and the team for which the individual is racing. You get a point for each race in which you participate. So even a first round loser gets a point, but no second point will be possible. When you lose, you just test and tune like the non CCC racers at the track. Trophies are awarded each competition to the winner and runner up.

The Ford Drag Team provides bbq'd hot dogs, chips and pop for its members at virtually all the races. You just need to look for the blue awning and a lot of Fords gathered in the same area. The cost of membership for the entire season is $5. You must pay the track's usual entry fee as well.
