Hi guys. I've been searching the forums, but can't find the answer to this ! I am doing a somewhat stock restoration on a '69 MachI with a 351W and FMX tranny. My right side exhaust manifold is broken, so I was thinking about using some '93 5.0 shorty headers I have. They look like they will clear, but has anyone here tried these in a '69, and if so, is the clearance OK ? Thanks for any help !!!
P.S. - Or.....Anyone got a right side stock manifold !

I do have a manifold, but I need to use it until my headers come in. Those factory shorties don't flow very well. Check out the pinch by the mounting bolts. You can get Heddmann shorties that will fit for about $150.

Thanks MaxPower ! I really prefer to stay with manifolds if possible, but I have these headers already, so I just wondered if anyone had used them. Do 351W exhaust manifolds look different on each side ? I may not even have the right ones to begin with Where would factory P/N's be available ?

Just guessing from memory, but I think the left and right are different. Numbers should be on the manifold but you may need to sandblast them to read them. I doubt the 5.0 headers will work; I tried them on my 67 with a 302 and they hit the shock towers. Your engine compartment is a little wider, so maybe. They are very restrictive though and cheap shorties are available if they do fit.

They are different from side to side. Just log into national parts depot website or Mustangs Unlimited and they will have a picture of 'em.

Thanks for all the info guys. I'll check those out at NPD online. I was looking through a catalog, but it does not picture both sides.
