I would like to replace my 14" rims with a set of 17" cobra rims but I am worried about the fit on my 73 mustang. I did a search on the forums and found a large about of info on installing late model rims on 65-70 mustangs but nothing about my year.

I know that there are a large number of differances bettween the early stangs and the 71-73 mustangs, so I thought I would ask if the information on wheel fittment in the early models is an accurate guide for my year.

BTW is it bad to use synthetic fluid in our power steering systems?

Well I am about to order a new set of rims. I am kinda scared since I couldn't find to much info on installing late model rims on my year mustang, but I'm going to get them anyway. Call me crazy.

Late model rims have way to much positive offset IMO. Our classics look better with a deeper dished wheel. I'd much rather have American Racing TT Ds on my '71 than the popular late model GT "bullitt" swap wheel simply because the deeper dish gives a more aggressive look!.

Does anyone know what the offset is on a 15x8 Cragar S/S wheel and a 15x7 Cragar S/S wheel, i would like to upgrade to some Armano 04 Dunamis wheels cuz i work at Discount Tire and get great deals, but i'd like to keep the same offset, and if i get a possitive offset of like.....25-45, will it fit in my wheel wells fine and not rub? car is not lowered yet, also if anyone could tell me if 18" wheels fit in a 69 mustang, i'd more than likely get 18x8
