Well I'm taking advantage of Bamachips and American Muscle's merge to pick up some fresh new tunes for my car and I noticed they have a setting for Launch Control which specifies a rev range to work on.

Any ideas at what I should be setting it? I don't really drag race I only do road course and Auto-X but I gotta admit possibly at the start of a lap it could be useful to have LC enabled.

My car is pretty much stock except for Intake and Exhaust no real power mods I wonder if I should even be messing with it.

Any thoughts?

It's not safe. It cuts fuel. If you want launch control, pick up the MSD Launch Master. Here's my install write-up.

It's also nice if anyone else has to have your car at all. Set it low and they won't be able to rev with the clutch in.

Damn I was hoping they would pull ignition not fuel oh well I left the setting as "default" and told them to do what the thought it was best for my application. I don't really rev the car with it in neutral anyway if it gets in the way I'll have them remove the thing.

I agree I wouldn't mess with it.

To even enable to the launch control in the SCT tuner, you have to disable to switch that cuts off the cruise when the clutch is depressed. I think there's something else you have to do, but not sure off-hand.
