Launching??

What are your suggestions for launching?? I have 00 GT, with BBK Cold Air and a Steeda short throw, im sittin on Nitto 555 275/40/17s. Any suggestions would be a great help, thanks.

You could try to launch around 1500rpm and feathering out the clutch to limit wheel spin

If you have Nitto 555Drag radials you should heat them up and I would try launching at about 2000 and take it up each time until they spin and then go back to the rpm's where you were able to get a good launch with no slipping and hopping.

I have the 555 Extremes, not the drag radials. I probably should have bought the drag radials, but I do a lot of highway driving, so i figured they wouldnt last as long.

I just ordered the 315 drags for the back and when my fronts go I will probally go with extremes in the front. My brother has a foxbody with the drags in the back and it is his daily driver and he says they grip rain or shine

i'll tell u how not to launch. around 3 grand and dump the clutch. thats good for about a 16 sec run. my best run was almost 1000-1200 rpm easing the clutch out. still learning though. it's tough.
