LEAK!!!!

Hey, I took my car to a car wash, and when i came bak home I realized felt the passenger side carpet and it was drenched! It has happened before but not to this extent! I need help tryn to find where exactly this leak is coming from... I've felt all over hte place and the only part that is wet is the carpet... I believe the cowl itself is fine, i put POR 15 on the bottom, felt around all up there and its dry... I opened the heater box felt in there its dry... its like the carpet got wet from underneath but its all sealed down there... any suggestions?

evaporator drain plugged???? or a leak from the cowl or A-pillar when it rains or is washed. have someone run a hose on the passenger side roof (low pressure) listen for a water leak sound. also check the coolant level. does it smell sweet in the carpet/ floor area?

If it's wet on the back of the kick panel, it's probably the windshield gasket. This is a VERY common leak. It usually will leak at the top corners (behind the stainless trim) and run down the inside of the gasket and then along the inside pinch weld. You can try to gently pull the top trim and add some sealant (stay away from silicone as this has acetic acid in it and will cause rust). Good luck.

If I were you, I'd cover the floor area with newspaper, then wet various areas, one at a time until one of them gets the newspaper wet. The specific spots I'd look into would be the cowl, windshield, side window/vent windows and door seals. One of them is the culprit, and by wetting them individually, you'll be able to isolate the problem.
