Leaking C6 Tranny?

Ever since I got my new C6 in the car it has been leaking whenever i park the car. I always check the oil level and it reads good, but its always leaving a spot on the ground.

Anyways its leaking out of the shift arm on the side, seems to be a bad seal or o-ring in there. I'm not sure what i need to do to replace w/e is going on in there. I was hoping someone could give me some insight on what i need to do to fix my leak.

To even make it better the C6 is so tight in the tunnel that if i need to take the arm off i will probably have to pull the transmission out of the car :notnice: :notnice: :notnice: :notnice: SOOOO I'm hoping its just some type of seal that i can take out the old one and slide the new one off without having to remove anything, but its never that easy.

Thanks for the help!

IIRC, you can pop the outer arm off and there should be an o-ring in there. Otherwise you'll need to pop the pan and valve body and maybe more to get the arm out from the inside. I would start with the outer arm though.

i wouldn't think you need to pull trans out to pull off arm. remove shaft and exhaust then the crossmember slowly lower the trans down. be sure to watch the pulleys and firewall area so nothing gets broken. may have to loosen up motor mounts too.
