I know I have replaced this thing several times over the years, the last just to attempt to fix this issue. The thing just leaks around the cover over time. Any suggestions on a fix to keep this from happening? Is there a good (not too expensive - i.e. not billet) replacement for the stock ms?

Fyi - I am doing a lot of engine compartment work right now, so cleanup suggestions for the mess on the firewall would be welcome too. Engine is in the bay though. It's a 68 with PS, and a recent granada swap. I am going to be replacing some wiring and other stuff too.

Hmm. Never thought of that. I remember always being told by my dad that the fluid should be 1/4" from the top of the reservoir.

Of course he also told me that turkeys would drown in a rain storm becuase they can't quit staring up at the sky.....

Could you be boiling over? Had that happen on an old Land Crusier... the break fluid was boiling out of the reservoir.
