Does anyone have any step by step instructions on how to reseal a leaking power steering ford pump? My pump works great...only problem is a leak from the reservoir. I don't want to tackle if it's too difficult. Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA

My shop manual isn't here at the moment but I think you need a press to do it.

You didn't really give us enough info. What kind of pump is it ? Depending on the year/motor it could be a few different pumps.

Hey Rusty67, it's off a 66 coupe, 289, auto, with no a/c. It still has the tag in the back so I'm assuming it's Ford.

I spoke to NPD today and the guy said it's just the one bolt in the back then the reservoir comes loose. I find that hard to believe.

Ok, that would be the standard Ford/Thompson pump. I don't have my shop manual here, I wont be near by it until the weekend.

From the looks of it, it comes appart from the rear like the guy from NPD said:

I did a reseal of the pump and it looks good with no leaks. It was quite easy, only messy. Will post picture later.
