I was out getting something to eat and it started raining while I was inside. I came out to see some drops on my passenger seat. I looked up and noticed that my headliner backing board was warped allready. Then I ran my hand up along the line of the winshield and noticed there was a gap between a good portion of it. I allready made a apointment to have the dealer look at this problem. From what I could see it will need a new healinder and proble the reinstallation of the winshield. I'm just wondering if anyone else has notice this problem.

Once upon a time, after about a week getting the car NEW, It rained out.
After the rain has ended, I decided to go for a drive. As i sit in my drivers seat...i notice a FREAKIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PUDDLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ON!!!!! THE!!!!!!!!!!!! PASSENGER!!!!!!SEAT!!!!!!!!!AND!!!!!!!!!!!THE!!!!!PASSENGERSIDE FLOOR CARPET!!!!!!!!!WAS!!!!!SOAKED!!!!!!!
so...
I jolly on down to ford....where i got the car.....
and say.."yea so ..I need my LEAKING problem fixed IMMEDIEATLY! i didnt pay 25,000 for a freakin leaky car. With that said......they said that i will have to drop it off at the GIANT GLASS place that was close to my house.
Giant glass fixed it and ford Covered the costs as the car was under warranty.

that is my story

i see , so did it mess up the headliner too, cause mine is bowed out right up by the winshield as i run my fingers over to the passenger side. i take it they just re-installed the factory glass, cause i want the pony at the top and everything like that. but i can't say i paid 25,000 for mine. lol i had family that worked at ford so i got 3000 off the sticker then another discount from the military , i financed 20,000 at 0 % lol i raped them on the car. and i don't feel bad about it, cause seems like cars just aren't made the way they use to.

If yours is an 02 you should still have warranty. Take it to ford...they should fix everything for free.

my car is still at the dealer right now , but when i took it in there to get looked at he was like well this could take a while to find. and awhile to fix, if we have to pull the winshield. then i asked him willl the headliner be fixed also, then he says ford is cracking down on that lately. we will have to call ford and see what they want us to do about that. i was like well the leak cause the damage to the headlinder , its not the fabric falling , its cause the backing plate ( the cardboard piece ) is warped cause of the water made it bow and deform. so if they don't want to fix it they really won't like me cause i'm going to keep on coming up there and calling till i get it fixed cause i well be D*$(%# if i'm goign to pay to fix it myself.

I had a passanger side leak and after several trips to the dealer they found a 12 inch gap with no sealent on the windshield. Replaced and resealed and no more water in the cockpit.

well thats what is wrong with mine. i can feel the sealant around the passenger side pillar but towards the middle i can't feel any sealant at all. you would think they would know how to put in a winshield.lol. hopefully they will figure that out so i can get my car back , i hate not having my baby around.

Good to hear it's fixed. When they remove the windshield they break it and you wind up geting a new one.
