Passenger side head. Left cylinder appears lean. Vince, my mechanic, noticed this when installing my longtubes and is now testing the injector to see if its just not spraying long enough. He said that the spark wire is a little rusty and the computer may be toast. The injectors are new frpp 24 lb. What do yall think?

yea, but when some electronics go bad, they dont completely stop working. i mean it is possible that the computer is causeing this. bad injector aside, how else could thid be explained? im just trying to think of everything that could cause this so i can properly diagnose the problem without jumping to conclusions. Thanks

I wouldn't jump either, I would wait to see what your mechanic says about the injector, could be the coil, it's a waiting game till then. The computer is pretty durable, computers don’t go bad as much as you would think.

Vince checked the injector and spark, all looked to be good. must be something that is occuring intermittently. hopefully it turns up when it gets tuned after the 1st... but the longtubes sound awesome!:nice:

Wow, that looks crazy....I would almost think its throwing ray gas through the cycliner and not firing at all....and the gas is cleaning the exhaust port. It would take some time for the port to just go white from a lean condition IMO.

what is ray gas??? anyway, i did run some seafoam about 2 weeks ago, but i dont think this is the issue as this is only apparent on one cylinder, the other 7 look just like the 2 on the right. also, the engine is not misfiring.
