I have an 05 GT Converttible with the Premium Pkg, Red leather. Over the past year the dye has been coming off. Anyone else have this problem?

have already thought about the leather conditioner but have tried 3 otherconditioners and it does the same thing.

I also have the red leather and it bleeds. The most valid reason i was given, the demand for the red far exceeded supply. Vendor didn't allow cure time for dye and clear coat. The clear on your seat has gone away.

The conditioners don't help, just keep clean with damp cloth. If your under warranty still bring in and don't tell them you put anything on the seat! The dealer will try to void your warranty.

If your out of warranty try to look on the forums for a set. One was just on ebay entire set of red seats with side bags for $250. Go online and order new set from aftermarket.

i am having the same problem with the grey leather on my 06, its almost like the dye is coming off of the leather and there are several spots that are down to just the tan leather color. it is also weird because it is happening in places that don't see much wear, and on the passenger seat. i took it in when it first started happening which was about a month after buying it with 4k miles and the dealership told me they would not cover it because it was normal wear and tear and it was not broken. its pretty much irreversable once it begains and it is starting to spread like plauge. even the back seats have started to show signs of it :notnice:
