lengthening ignition wires

I got a new mass air harness and want to do some wire hiding and the strand that goes to the tfi module is too short. The prob is one of the wires is shielded. Is there anything special I need to do to make that wire longer? any suggestions?

I ran my 10-pins and TFI wires behind the dash inside the car and through the tranny tunnel. I had to extend my TFI wires about 2 inches, but if you solder them right and use the heat shrink wrap, you will be fine. I havent had any problems with mine and don't anticipate any...
