I would love to get some better headlights...I have driven around with my highs on and people do not flash me. I have cleaned the lenses and new bulbs as well...horrible light output.

I would love to find an LED/HID setup that could be done DIY that does not look like crap or leak.

TurboGT ive had myne done like that for a year, with cobalt guages. Looks good.

On the way back from carisle I had to tape up my cobalt gauges because of the glare at night.

haha.. I have ALOT going against me at night..

1. Tinted Windshield
2. Bright Alpine DVD Player
3. Tinted Headlights
4. And now, VERY bright gauges... I don't leave city limits at night.. I can barely see driving around in town.. Good news is.. I have NO reason to go out of town with this car

i might buy a new cluster and do this on... my cluster is messed up (spedo) might as well do it while the car is down and i have to do the heater core anyway...

oh stop crying about the tinted winshield... i absolutely miss mine every day! i had a tv in the car for 3 days and had to get rid of it because of the glare. so maybe u talked me out of the VERY bright gauges lol... i dont wanna be blinded at night

Your pics convinced me to get the LEDs for my stock gauges. Are you gauges stock Cobra's? They look blue, while my GT gauges are green...

Yes they are stock... My stock gauge color with incandescent bulbs is green also..

But the actual film inside the gauges is blueish and when mixed with the yellowish light of regular bulbs, you get green..

The led's I bought are Cool white going thru the bluish film giving me a nice blue color..



ON alpines, you can have the display go totally black for night driving

did u ever get a chance to swap that led in the HVAC for me?

LOL.. I spent all day cleaning my Garage and still can't find the green bulb cover..

As soon as I find it I'll swap it in and see what happens.. Hopefully today, as I should be workin on the car some anyway

the only way id consider doing it is having green lights shine through... amber is more of an orange than a yellow, right?
