id run 28" tires all the time at that point. i hate chaging tires in and out. 1 of the huge reasons i run radials on my car. that and they are faster and more stable
as for the 28" street tire look 295/45/17

Just me personally, but in doing so, you now need to adjust your street tires to make up for the gear change. A 28" race tire looks good, but a 28" street wheel/tire set up, can't say I'd like the look.
My suggestion is keep it 27" tire or less.

A dot cheater slick in 26 or 27" would be my advise. After I use up the MT's I'm going to a 26x11.5x15 cheater. I only have 3.73's and would go up to 4.10's but I know that's to much gear for the future plans.My problem is that I'm geared for a 28, but i don't think I have the power for them. When i get around to building the big stroker i want to hopefully build in a couple years, I won't have that problem.
Someone mentioned the new et street r's, but 1) they're not out yet, 2) theres both radial and bias ply sizes putting me in the same conundrum, and 3) I don't really want to be the guinea pig on them
I haven't seen pricing on them yet, i know the current ones are all within a few bucks of $200 each on summit, dont know of anybody else selling new cheaper, especially local.@Chuckman 4) 300 bucks a pop??!!
