Has anyone messed around any with the lexan windows from Harwood? Does anyone know if there are any legalities behind running lexan on a street car? I am not wanting to install a lexan windshield, but as far as swapping out that hatch window in my fox, that is my main concern. Let me know what you guys think. Here is the website if you want to check it out.

Illegal. For various reasons, including but not limited to: The fact that if you flip your car and are dying inside, and the only way to get in or out to save you is the hatch window, well you're gonna die. Lexan is extremely tough stuff. I've heard rumors of it being nearly bullet proof. Plus that price is regoddamndiculous. PLUS plus, it's going to scratch really easily and look like total crap after a couple years. In the end, unless you're racing and making money off your car, it's not worth it.

FYI: all factory glass comes with 12% tint on any car to reduce glare......it may look dumb and cause glare since it is not OEM.

Lexan is tough, but not that tough, especially as thin as what is offered 1/8" to 3/16". I have broken a few in my day, so I have a little bit of experience with it. Your best bet is Percy's Speedglass. It is more scratch resistent that most and is windshield wiper safe on their front windshields.
