I got more then 12 points in 12 months. This sucks, is it too late to take a class and get my points taken off? Am I gonna have to pay any fines? And is there anyway to get it back earlier? Or get a license to go to work?

I dont know, im pretty confused. I got a letter in the mail like 2 weeks ago saying I had 11 points on my license close to being suspended. Since then I havent gotten any tickets.

I get a letter in the mail today saying I have 14 points. heres the list

4 pts unlawful speed
4pts unlawful speed
3 pts improper turn
3 pts careless driving

The last two I got at the same time. So thats 6 points in one chibang, if I already had 11 points, how did i just get 3 random extra points. I dont have the last letter so I cant see what points were added up oh well.

I'm not sure how FL law does things so i couldn't tell ya. I think it's time to get an import man! That way you can think you're driving fast but in reality you're draggin ass!

Just gotta keep it at the track dude....i got so sick of cops hassling me that i barely DO the limit in my 'stang now. I just cruise and they watch and you can almost feel their looks because they can't do anything.

In NJ, you can appeal the suspension. BUT, it's not without risk, if you do any points violation in the next 6 months, you get double the suspension.

Didn't you ever hear of going to court and fighting a ticket?
My brother lives in FL and he says you get a lawyer down there Cheap, and they get you off.

but seriously if you went to court to fight some of those tickets u might have got a reduction in points at least. I would chill for a while maybe start thinking about getting a beater...yes its u but its also the car..a) mustangs attract unwanted attention b)when in a mustang u are tempted to press that right pedal hard

1) Complete Stops (no rolling stop signs, Yellow doesnt mean Speed up..)
2) Turn signals ( the simplest of the 3 steps)
3) (this one might be the hardest for you, but trust me its easyer then you think)

The driver class can be taken on line, at your convienence. I have done it within the last six months, so it isn't a here now gone tomorrow thing. It can be done in one evening, so it isn't a big time killer. Cost is less than $30 for most online classes

EDIT: Look for a school that mails or emails your course completion directly to the DMV. With the short time frame you have, this could be very important.

You're lucky...here careless driving is 6 pts, and I believe you only can have 8 pts in 12 months or you lose your license.

I've only had one ticket on my record - the others have had lawyer's attention.

Check into the online driving school; that's cool.

I had driving school when I had my careless and inprudent driving ticket about 5 years ago. Driving school, fines, and either 6 months or 1 yr driving probation probation.

just so you know also you really need to check what happens if you get another one... Back when I was younger I got that letter, I had 12 points but I was just out of the loop by a month, but if i had gotten another ticket within 18 months they would take it for like a year.... So just make sure you find out all the info.

Heres a little secret at least in Indiana. Over pay you ticket by a few dollars. They will send you a check refunding you for what you over paid, you then rip it up. They cant give you points untill the money is refunded to you. Ive never had a ticket but my brother has had quite a few and hes done this 5 times now and hasnt had one point added.

o you poor baby, I have mine suspended till may 18

and yea i heard about the over paying thing here in PA supposedly it works.
