Im considering purchasing a used supercharger. I've heard of superchargers having to be rebuilt after a lot of use. What's involved in this ($$)? How many miles can you put on a supercharger before it needs to be serviced or rebuilt?

Every 3,000 miles with oil change, when car is cold, remove oil inlet fitting at the S/C, clean thoroughly using high pressure air to blow the orifice clean before reinstallation. Do not attempt to remove the screen/filter in the inside of the oil feed fitting. This oil feed fitting is designed to spray a mist of oil on the gears. Never use teflon tape or other sealants on any oil feed line fitting. Do not over tighten fittings.

Okay, that's what the book says for normal maintenance. But WTF is the oil inlet fitting?

the line going into the bottom of the blower. Think it's red stock. I've never once done that.
