Just wondering if anyone has a write-up for installing lifters or has a link for one, I searched and looked in my chilton, but it just isn't specific enough for me, I NEED DETAILS, lol. That and I'm gonna install rockers too and wondering about a write-up for that as well. Thanks a lot in advance.....

As far as the lifters, are they new, or are you reusing old ones?

If they are new, a day or so before you install them, get a container and put all the lifters in it, and cover them with fresh clean oil. Let 'em soak it up

thanks for reminding me on that may have forgotten, but how about the actual procedure, I've never done it before and don't want to hit any snags

We did mine a few weeks ago and im saying this from memory... Youll have to ask someone else about adjusting the rockers (depending if you have stock or aftermarket ones) but when i put my lifters in, i just soaked them in oil like i said, look down your lifter bores and make sure there isnt any crud in there, take a little assembly lube and coat the inside of the lifter bores, then slide the lifters in. You might here someone saying something about which way the holes are supposed to face. i was told it didnt matter, but i faced all of mine in towards the lifter valley to ensure they get good oil flow to them. But thats just me.
