lifter install

Sure can...

Gotta pull the lower manifold off though....

EDIT: Now that I think about it again, I'm not sure if you can or not. It's been so damn long since I've been into my motor, I forget. :D

I believe you can as long as they arnt the linked lifters.

I actually took out all my lifters with the heads installed, because I was taking the rockers out, then I did the pushrods, then valley hold down plate, then the lifter guides, then the lifters.

So yes, without a doubt you can. All 16.

What he said...the corners ones can be funky, use a magnet to suck em right out...
I freaked when I did my H/C/I...Bolted the heads all down and hadn't put the lifters in yet...Much to my surprise...you can snake em right in and out... :nice:

I did what Rio did, bolted the heads on and realized I didn't have the lifters in yet. It wasn't a problem getting them in though. I just had to angle them a little bit at the start. Then they dropped right in. So its probably the reverse taking them out with the heads in too.

As mentioned above, you will, of course, have to have the lower intake off.
