I did a search here and asked Google.
I am looking for a way to keep the hot oil off the underside of the lower intake manifold.

Is there an aftermarket lifter valley screen available for the 351w?
I was going to make my own but wanted to see some other design ideas first.

Is it even advantageous to use one?

I really doubt it. The only Ford engines I know of that for sure came with them from the factory are 351 Clevelands. The 351M/400 may have also, but I'm not certain. I think getting an intake(or even just gaskets, if possible) without an EGR crossover would be of more benefit.

I will be re-routing the EGR to flow from the back of the heads, rather than through the intake. Performance wise I think this is a much better idea.
How are the 351M and 400 oiling systems different from the Windsor?

How is the Chevy motor different so that their small blocks need one?

I saw your signature. Whats with boring the stock EGR to 65mm?

I dont know how the oiling is different. The 351C, 351M and 400 share alot of design elements with the 385 series(429/460). The Cleveland, however, was a factory extra high performance engine. Factory ~300cfm heads and 2.75" mains = high rpm. Modern NASCAR engines are still loosely based on the Cleveland.

As for the Chevies, its cheaper to make a million engine options based on the same block. Ford did something similar with the FE; it started in '57 or '58 with the 332 FE, then went to 352, 390, 427, 428, and many other options in truck platforms. They stopped using the FE in cars in '70 and in trucks in the late '70s.

For my EGR spacer, I put it on a milling machine at work and bored it out. Took about 15 minutes. I also have a spare one punched out to 70mm.
