Light Bar vs. Roll Bar

No... did you install it yourself? I guarantee you that you can't tow your car with it. Try it and come back and tell me what happened.

And look at how the tubing is "flattened"... no tubular strength...

and I see your point I just don't agree with it
the CDC bar is advertised as being 1/8" (.125) wall 1 1/4" dia. tube (and I just went and popped one off the stupid caps off to check the thickness
)...and NHRA calls for .134 wall and 1 5/8 or 1 3/4" tube for roll cages...so the diameter is less than optimal for a roll bar but the wall thickness is pretty darn close
and the flattened part is just the ends, with it upside down I could see where they compressed it...and from a manufacturing stand point, it is many times easier to bend a round tube than a flat tube across it's long axis, so it would make little sense to use a flattened tube for the complete bar...
anyway, it's no big deal, but I KNOW it made a huge difference in the stiffness of my car...

Btw, I had a four point roll bar on my jeep and it was way stronger then this thing. With the jeep roll bar with one person on each side you could not twist it at all, the lightbar with someone on each side you can twist it.

by looking at the windshield it looks like it really did go over.
i am with you on the fact that those things are not even close to as strong as a roll bar.
i have not seen a roll bar i liked in a vert yet.
i know they would not withstand the full weight of the car, but there are probably some rollovers where the full weight of the car does not land squarely flat on the top.
i believe that the light bar is better than nothing at all though.
