Hey, my light bar is all installed and ready to go.... except for my motherf#@%ng brake light splice. I have already cut, checked, then put back together 3 different connections..

The final straw was when I thought I had it, then I hit the left blinker and the fckuer started blinking!! :bang: That sucked!!!!!!

Can anyone tell me EXACTLY which wire it is?? I really am starting to lose my mind.

Kyle

Use the high mounted third brake light feed. It's a dark green wire that runs in a harness along the driver's side then up to a connector located near where the harness passes into the trunk lid.

Wel, I got the wiring down... My problem was actually with the light switch shut-off for when the top is up. I still cant get that to work right.

FYI, it is the Haney Motorsports shutoff switch.... I have it hooked up to the covertible top motor, then the ground from the light goes to one end, and the other goes to the ground on the body.

Any ideas?

I'm not familiar with the Haney shutoff switch, but it seems to me you would need a microswitch mounted somewhere to detect physically if the top is up or down. The hydraulic pump motor only runs when raising or lowering the top, so not a useful inducator of position of the mechanism.

It is possible to use a dual-coil latching relay with the coils driven from the up & down contacts on the top switch, or even from the pump motor itself. Perhaps this is how the Haney detector module works. Can you post a scan of the instructions that came with the unit?
How many wires does it have? (I would expect 4; 2 to the pump motor, 1 to the light bar, and 1 to ground.
