Is there anyway to put a lightning/harleydavidson supercharger on a 4.6 liter mustang gt. I can buy a supercharger for about $1000 on ebay and I want to put it on my mustang. The intake manifolds won't match because the lightning engine is a 5.4. IS there an intake manifold that I can buy for my car. Will it even work because it isn't DOHC. Thanks guys... My stang would be nasty with this supercharger on it.

I'm gonna go ahead and say no. Do I have technical reasons for you beyond, that the Lighting SC is suppose to fit a 5.4 engine? No.

NO it wont work , and even if you made it work , its not worth the time , effort or added $$ it would take to make it work . just do searches on vortech , paxton , allen , KB (kenne bell) to find more info on this .

if you are new to this just let us know we (us blown mustang guys) we will be glad to give you our .02 cents

Don't bother - It's too much work and would require you to cut a L intake and have it welded. By the time you are done you can have a 9lb KB kit designed for your car - and then some.

I think you might be able to use 2003 cobra parts (it uses a simular Eaton M112), lower intake manifold, intercooler, injectors, etc... I think you will have a problem with the lightning blower where it's intake is on top, while the cobra's is on the back to allow clearance...

listen to him. you will end up spending more money to make it work, than you would just going out & buying something that is designed specifically to your car ;)

The 03 stuff will not work.

Ya you can make it work if you got a custom adaptor plate to port mach your heads. All modular parts can mix and mach but the port holes just are not the same. Look at me I have SVO heads with a PI Intake thats what I mean by mix and mach. You can even take a 5.4 motor and put your PI Heads on top if you get a custom adaptor to port mach every think. See if geting a KB will come out cheaper like maybe there 6psi kit.

Sure make an adapter plate. Then deal with.

Belt Wrap
Alternator location
Bypass setup
TB inlet - remember L inlet goes the other way.
Fuel rails
