thoughts? opinions? troubles?

yes I know the laws on both, so aside from that issue.

never used the tint film on anything before. I think I'd like to try it. last time I had covers the were stolen.

I think the film looks better, but in a way the covers are more functional. I love my smoked headlights, but hate the reduced output. Atleast with covers you can snap them off at night.

Are you talking about headlights, or tail lights? Honestly, I think head light covers look a little too 80's for our cars, and the tail light covers look ugly. I did the vinyl tints on my tail lights, and they look sweet. I have a friend that did the same light smoke vinyls on his foggy head lights, and that looked great, once he got the bubbles all out. Sorry if I don't make any sense. Have had quite a few white russians this evening.

I have headlight covers now and it sucks having to take them off every night. I'm gonna replace my chinzy headlights with smoked headlights from AM and get a HID kit. I like the covers because i like my car being all blacked out but they're just an inconvienience(spelling?) sometimes

The vinyl was nothing but a constant headache for me. Have to be VERY gentle while washing your car. Temperature changes also loosen the film and can cause bubbles. Go with spray - much more durable and no need to worry about the weather.

I was also thinking you lose the 3d look of our tailights with covers since the covers are flat shaped. I don't like that at all.

temp change is one thing I wasn't thinking about with the tint though. anyone else have that problem? I would think if they are installed right there shouldn't be any issues.

I don't really want to spray tint. too permanent. I guess for $20 for the tints its not a big loss if they eventually come loose or bubble.
