well yes and no, to start with, of course the displacement is the same but the heads are a little different. Flow numbers are close with the lincoln having better flow at lower lift and cobra heads better at higher lift. Now the cams are different, you want a different grind to have better efficiency for either N/A or S/C applications. Yes you can use the same cams for each motor but you lose efficiency that way. The other 2 differences are your motor has a 9.9:1 compression ratio, the cobra has a 8.5:1 and your block is aluminum to where the cobra is cast iron. You can put a supercharger on that lincoln and keep the Boost low and make pretty good power, dont expect cobra numbers but it would be stout, but to make the cobra engine it would cost a good bit of money and i don't know if it would be worth it. Just a little information, hope it helps you out.
you cant use the continental motor. its a fwd motor, and they have a different belllhousing bolt pattern. you wont be able to find a rwd tranny for it.

Good info. BTW, when my dad was working in the SVE/SVT group, he said they were getting tons of attempted warranty claims for broken bottom end parts on pre-03 Cobras...apparently due to the weaker Al block and superchargers.
