Can I swap a Lincoln Mark VIII 4.6 4v into a Mustang chasis?? Will there be transmission issues? I know i'll need a new k-member... But what else needs to be done if it can be to make this happen?
You'll need the 4V brake booster to make it fit. The GT's 2V canister takes up too much room and will end up being in the way. You'll likely have to swap out to the Mustang oil pan as well.Blown94coupeGT said:Can I swap a Lincoln Mark VIII 4.6 4v into a Mustang chasis?? Will there be transmission issues? The bottom end is a little different too. The Mark VIII comes with a nodular iron crank, where the Cobra's is forged.oohsoobad2 said:The Mark engine is the same as an 96-98 Cobra except for the cams and intake.
