Lincoln Town Car QUestion *Its still ford*

I'm trying to replace original radio with this aftermarket panasonic. i got the dash kit and the harness how do i go about getting the factory radio out?

If the radio has 2 small hole in each side, use some 2" long nails. Insert the nails into the holes until you feel resistance. Then press all 4 nails outwards toward the doors. The spring clips will release and you can pull the radio out. At least that's how it works with Mustangs...

Or just buy the stereo removal tools from Walmart. Theyre only a few bucks.

I didnt have any luck with nails, screwdrivers, allen wrenches or paper clips like Ive seen suggested before.

bend 2 peices of coat hanger into a U and insert them into the holes and pull

Yep, just go slow.

I've also had no luck with nails or coat hangers. Not that the cheap tools are much better, but they are a little easier to bend.

EDIT: thats assuming that the lincoln's have two small holes on each side like the fords. I've seen those holes covered by a small, narrow trim piece, like on a mazda, so it may require some digging.
