I'm trying to replace original radio with this aftermarket panasonic. i got the dash kit and the harness how do i go about getting the factory radio out?
If the radio has 2 small hole in each side, use some 2" long nails. Insert the nails into the holes until you feel resistance. Then press all 4 nails outwards toward the doors. The spring clips will release and you can pull the radio out. At least that's how it works with Mustangs...
I've also had no luck with nails or coat hangers. Not that the cheap tools are much better, but they are a little easier to bend.
EDIT: thats assuming that the lincoln's have two small holes on each side like the fords. I've seen those holes covered by a small, narrow trim piece, like on a mazda, so it may require some digging.
