line lock install

i want to get a line lock, probably hurst for my 02 gt. anyone have experience installing one. how difficult is it. anything tricky i should know about, or anything extra i need to get ie install kits etc.

bump, i need some info too. i have an auto does the hurst work with the auto?

i don't know why the line lock wouldn't work with an automatic. i know that it's hard to heat up my bfg dr's with a 5 speed without killing my back brakes.

SLP makes a specific kit for our cars. I have one on order.

I'm assuming there would be some brake bleeding involved, so I wouldn't want that as a DIY. I'd probably screw something up.

Yeah i know what youre talking about but Id rather 'Kiss Me''Kiss Me''Kiss Me''Kiss Me' up my own car than someone else. Theres nothing on my car Im going to pay to get installed, well almost nothing.

Yeah I just bought one to.....They are on backorder till April 2nd. I think they are the only company with a kit out specifically for our cars. 143 shipped

I installed one on my car - from TCI. If you can bend brake line (recommend tube bender - don't want kinks) and bleed brakes you can handle it. There are a few pics on my homepage - just click the mods and then line lock. Also, I believe Joe Lynch (search for his name on Google or something) did a great write up on the install.

It's not bad at all - just watch your fluid level in the master cylinder when you're taking off lines and bleeding brakes.

thanks, your the first person to actually help me on my question. i think my uncle and i should be able to handle it. i'm going with the hurst. i found a couple on e-bay brand new pretty cheap.
