Line lock question

Okay, I've been thinking about getting a line lock for my stang just to make the burnouts that much easier. Here's my question: Can a line lock work in reverse. What I mean by that is, instead of installing it so that you press the break and hit the switch which traps the fluid in the front breaks, can you do it backwards so that you can hit the switch then hit the break keeping the fluid out of the rear so that you can change the break pressure during the burn out for a slow roll or whatever? Can you just basically choose the line to put the lock on?

that seems like it would work to me.. it would take some backwards thinking but its possible.

i don't think so i believbe a line lock is basically a electric one way flow control. when you engage the line lock you can still apply brakes and force brake fluid through it it just will not get back out untill the line loc is released. someone correct me if i am wrong.

That pretty much summed it up!!!

Besides, why would you want/need to do a slow rolling burnout? Tires are already cooked form the burnout. Just release the line lock during the burnout and the car begins to move. No real advantage to it.

A line lock is just a simple solonoid that opens and shuts. If you engauge it when the brakes are on, then let off the brake, pressure will be retained in the brakes, if you engauge the line lock, then press the brakes, it will then block pressure to the brakes. So yes it would work.

Yes it works both way,I like the idea of the no back breaks as you can control it with your foot.

But for strickly doing a burn out and getting to the line,save your leg and use the front brakes on the lock.
